Overnight, Moscow's aerial assaults have resulted in power cuts in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.
Several individuals were injured while inhabitants in the city's east were left without electricity and encountered disruption to water supplies, according to municipal leaders.
Simultaneously, a minor was lost their life in a distinct assault in the southeastern region in the country's south-east, as reported by local officials.
Moscow has increased strikes on power infrastructure over recent weeks, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "concrete actions" from partner nations to exert influence on Moscow.
"What is required is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the America, the EU and the Group of Seven - in supplying protection systems and enforcing sanctions," mentioned in a public message.
Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 rockets targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such strikes as "strategic and deliberate" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as temperatures become colder.
Energy officials said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were laboring to repair systems.
A series of attacks hit power facilities and apartment buildings in Kyiv.
Multiple people injured in the strikes on the capital have been hospitalized, according to local officials.
Local officials said the urban area came under heavy assaults during nighttime hours. A seven-year-old child was killed and several individuals were injured.
The attacks follow evenings of air raids in the area, sections of which remain under the control of Moscow's military.
The entire country is on alert for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to detect.
Government officials told reporters that Russia was deliberately attempting to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already disrupting gas facilities.
Authorities confirmed utility staff and officials were preparing for additional strikes.
