Along with Cisse's six goals on debut, Stephen Ireland has netted 8 in three games for the side, while Boyd scored 5 on his debut appearance and Joleon Lescott, a defender by trade, notched a triple in one match as a striker.

"We really have not stopped talking about it - I was calling my mother and brother on the way home.

"The opponents were all really nice, shaking our hands after the match - it was like facing a group of regular guys.

"Now we are eager for the return fixture."
